SUMMARY:

Cursed for a sin she can no longer remember committing, Man Wol is doomed to spend all of the eternity running this odd establishment, catering to the needs of the most peculiar clientele. Her only hope of escape is to find someone who has committed a worse sin than her own but after a thousand years, she’s beginning to lose hope.

However, things take an interesting turn when Goo Chan Sung shows up. Once the youngest assistant manager ever to work at a multinational hotel corporation, Chan Sung finds himself forced to manage the Hotel del Luna because of a deal his father made with Man Wol years ago. A stickler for rules and regulations, he’s a perfectionist to the extreme but that may be exactly what this odd establishment and its cursed CEO needs.

MORAL LESSON:

  • Never Hold a Grudge

If you watched the Korean drama Hotel Del Luna from the start, you will definitely know why IU (Jang Man Wol) is still stuck on earth.  Because she has not finished completing her grudge against someone in her past.

Therefore, Koo Chan Sung, played by Yeo Jin Goo, was brought in to soften Jang Man Wol's heart to forgive his past mistakes.

  • About the good in life

In life, we always meet various people, so let us be friendly and do good with them.  Dare to admit mistakes and apologize, try to help them even though they are small, and not be jealous of other people, let alone hold grudges and do kindness toward other people.

  • Everything has an end and all meetings end in separation

Nothing lasts forever in this world.  Everything will end and in the end you will part with loved ones.  Whatever the reason, it is still inevitable in the end.  Therefore, the only thing that could be done was to accept it.

For example, we saw that Goo Chan Sung, even though he felt immeasurable sadness because he had to part with Jang Man Wol, he still gave up the girl he loved to go.

  • Do everything sincerely and try to do your best

Goo Chan Sung is one of the favorite characters at K-Drama Hotel Del Luna.  This is because of his sincere attitude, warmth and always trying to do his best.  Never half-hearted, he always tries to help other people, even his guests who are all ghosts.

From the figure of Goo Chan Sung, you will learn about the meaning of sincerity, sacrifice, and giving 100% effort in doing anything.  You will also learn from him about the importance of being empathetic to anyone and not discriminating against treatment based on background.
